Italy clinched a place in the Nations League final four with a 2-0 win away to Hungary thanks to goals by Giacomo Raspadori and Federico Dimarco in their last League A-Group 3 game on Monday.

The men in blue had been quite active from the early minutes as they kept hurling attacks at the Hungarian defence which they were not able to get behind. However, their tireless efforts were rewarded when Raspadori, the hero from the encounter against England, opened the scoring for them in the 26th minute, giving Italy the required motivation. 

Coming back from the break, Hungary was resilient with a renewed zest. However, their game lacked the flair that it had against Germany. Soon, Italy grew into the game and was able to take control. It was a shame that, just before that, Dimarco had extended the lead for the Azzurri. Barella threads the ball behind the defense for Cristante, who sends a low cross to the back post for Dimarco to sled into the roof of the net, scoring.
