Even though the price has come down from India, the corporation will not adjust the price immediately stating that the corporation is already suffering from losses and there is no profit.
According to the latest price list received from Indian Oil Corporation, the corporation has a profit of Rs 2 on petrol. Apart from this, there is profit in kerosene and aviation fuel as well.
However, there is a loss of Rs 10 per liter on diesel and Rs 800 per cylinder on LPG gas . For this reason, the corporation says that it will not immediately adjust the price of petroleum products.
As per the price list of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) unveiled on August 1, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 16.80 per liter and diesel by Rs 12.45 per liter.
